I’m getting there slowly. Have you got any advice on lenses for fashion and portraiture. I have an 85mm 1.8 at present and average 24-70 zoom for my D3. I’m not sure what else to invest in.

Thanks also for the kind words on my snowdrop saga. They are more than inspiring, and are turning into a long-term project! (though usually long term projects result in photos…). I think I’ll dig through my archives and find some of my attempts, it’d be nice to get some perspective (and maybe feedback? :-)

And yes, you’re not the only person asking why I’m not posting more. On the last several shoots I’ve done, I’ve actually had someone use my compact camera to get a few shots of me on the go (ostensibly to use for this blog), so the content is there, I just gotta put it together! Writing is a lot of fun, but I have to admit that it takes me a long time to put something together, it’s a bit daunting sometimes (especially when I usually end up writing posts on my phone, LOL!).

Anyways, I’d love to meet up, I’m always happy to talk photography with people who have passion for the field (and, judging from what I’ve read in your blog, you definitely fit into that category! My favorite shoot of yours, so far, is of your daughter in your dress in the bluebells, great stuff!). Oh, and I shoot weddings too, but that site hasn’t been fully built yet (I’m doing the coding, and I’m not all that quick at it ).

You have just connected with me on Linkedin so I thought I would come and have a mooch around your site. My first impression was wow, what amazing images I want to visit this guy and pick his brains ( in the nicest possible sense! ). The images of the women, the lighting simply superb. Secondly I just want to say how lovely and easy your site is to navigate around – fab. Thirdly I enjoyed reading about the Snowdrops but gutted that you did not capture them but more importantly you write so well, so how come you are not keeping your journal up to date??
If you ever need a second shooter or just someone to make the tea hey give me a nudge…
